River Sumanavati backwaters
At just few minutes away from the farm, this beautiful river flows down all the way from western ghats and becomes one with the ocean at Someshwara beach(ottinene beach). Coconut farms on both sides of the river and the the picturesque backdrop of western ghats makes it a one of a kind experience. Kalavady farms arranges special boat rides on traditional fishing boats to experience the backwaters.
Sri Eshwara Marikamba Temple
Located at just 2.3 kms from the farm house, the temple is believed to be more then 700 years old. Kalavady temple is located on the bansk of river Sumanavati. As the name suggests, Kalavady temple, Kalavady grama and kalavady House is all historically connected.
The temple is believed to be very holy and devotees from various places to come to visit this temple.
Someshwara Beach
Located at just 5.9 kms from the farm house Someshwara beach is very unique in its own ways, Ottinene beach is a scenic beach popular because of an elevated cliff that offers captivating views of the beach below. Sunset Point
Located at just 6.8 kms from the farm house, the sunset point in Byndoor is a must visit place. Located on top of a cliff overlooking at mighty Arabian sea. Ottinene viewpoint is located at the edge of a small hill right next to Arabian Sea. River Sumana merges with the sea right below the viewpoint, offering a spectacular view. Closer to Ottinene viewpoint is a Someshwara temple, right next to the beach.

Ganganadu Shree Mahalingeshwara Temple
Belived to be approximately 1000 years old, this is one the most unique temples of Lord Shiva. After Gokarna , this is one of the very few rare temples where you can worship lord Shiva by touching shiva linga once every year.The origin of this temple is lost in antiquity. It is not clearly known when and by whom the original temple was consecrated. However, it is believed that during the latter part of 10th-century Rashrakutas and in the 13th century Vijayanagara Emperors patronized this temple. Maravanthe/Trasi Beach
Maravanthe is a village and a beach near Kundapura, Karnataka, India.
It is about 115 km from industrial hub Mangalore, 55 km from Udupi and 39 km from tourist town of Bhatkal. NH-66 (erstwhile NH-17) runs next to the beach and the Suparnika River flows on the other side of the road. Outlook traveller considers it one of Karnataka’s most beautiful beaches.
The Suparnika River, which almost touches the Arabian Sea here, makes a U-turn and goes westward to join the sea after a journey of nearly more than 10 km
Koosalli Falls (20kms)
The Koosalli Waterfalls is a large waterfall located in a deep, rocky forest near Koosalli village in Karnataka, India. The waterfall is 15 km from Shiroor via Toodalli and 4 km from Koosalli village. Koosalli Waterfalls is a cascading waterfall with six different waterfalls dropping from a height of 470 feet
The greenery, nature’s mist and the rivulets make it a pleasant welcome before reaching the falls, which, in fact, is a boon to all nature lovers and tourists. Rainy season is the best time to view the actual beauty of this place. But it is quite dangerous to visit these falls, especially in the rainy season.
This falls is also known as the Abbi Falls. One has to travel 80 kilometres towards north from Udupi, eight kilometres eastwards from the Shiroor Thudalli road and four kilometres walk towards the forest ways, to reach the Koosalli Falls.
Kollur Mookambike Temple
One among the seven abodes of Salvation, in the creation of Parashurama. Kollur mookambika temple is one of the most popular places to visit in Udupi. The Shree Kshethram is set up by Adi Shankaracharya. This is an abode where the Goddess Shakthi is worshiped. Devi Mookambike is worshiped here as the Shakthi Devatha. The Monster or troll Kaumhaasura, known as Mooka was put to death in this Kshethra. Mookambike is an Adi Shakthi as the Linga has integrated on it’s left side ” MahaKali”, Maha lakshmi” and Maha Saraswathi”. The Adi Shakthi in this form can be seen only here. In the form of Udhbhavalinga, Mookambike has also integrated Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva on the right side. A gold Chain is dividing this Jyothirlinga into left and right portion. The left side of the Linga represents the Shakthi and right represents Shiva. Since Devi had appeared in his devine sight during his meditation, Adi Shankara had set up the statue of Devi on “SriChakra Yantra”. Shri Shankaracharya’s Peetha is on the western side of the Sactum Sanctorum of the Temple. Even today the worshiping ritual is being continued as per the Vijayagama system formulated by Adi Shankarachary.

Murudeshwar temple
Murudeshwara is a town in Bhatkal Taluk of Uttara Kannada district in the state of Karnataka, India. The town is located 13 km from the taluk headquarters of Bhatkal. Kayaking in Mangroves
After beach and temple tourism, Mangrove Kayaking is the new attraction for the tourists. The Mangrove Kayaking is an experience by itself. The slow-moving boat, the sound of the water, the sun rays penetrating through the mangrove, all these give a special touch to the Kayaking experience. For those without any experience in Kayaking, the short 10 minutes of training will be sufficient to confidently enjoy the 8 km tour for two hours. Kayaking is open from 7 am to 7 pm. People can enjoy during high tide as the water level is more and boats can enter the Mangroves easily. Kayaking is only on the backwaters and there are no dangerous spots in this stretch. The sophisticated boats and the life jackets make the experience safer.

The history of Yana Caves is deeply rooted in Hindu mythology. According to the legend, a demon king named Bhasmasura received a boon from Lord Shiva, allowing him to destroy anyone by touching their head. This boon became a threat to the gods, leading Lord Vishnu to assume the form of Mohini, a seductress, and cunningly trick Bhasmasura into taking his own life by touching his own head. As a result of this event, the caves turned black due to the ashes of Bhasmasura.
